Hoc~ey During the week of August 16 through 20, 1993, tryoutsfortheGirls' Field Hockey team were held at Jack Jouett Middle School. Each of the participants came equipped with mouth guards, s hin guards, cleats, hockey sticks, and athletic shoes in order to try out. When the tryouts were over, the Varsity and Junior Varsity teams were formed.The Varsity team earned a record of 5-3-5 and theJ .V. team's record was 5-3-4. The Varsity team was led by two coaches, the head coach Ms .
Bohannon and the assistant coach Ms. Kirk. Varsity team captains were Ali Brandenburger, Abby Hegemier, and Julie Stone. TheJ.V. team was instructed by Mrs. Reynolds. Meg Kemp, Ashley Skipper, and Michelle Chaisson were their team captains. Although the Varsity team record was not awinningone, "ourrecord did not portray our season and team," said Lacey Goehringer.
