LAYING AROUND This year the Boys' Junior Varsity and Varsity Lacrosse teams had a good year, with the help of coaches Charles Echols and Claiborne Craig. Heading the Junior Varsity team were Chris Denby. Arthur Hayward, and Jason Byrd. The Varsity team earned a 6-6 record with the leadership of Bryan Hancock, JohnJurlando, Chris Whitner, and Colin Cox. At the beginning of March, lacrosse season started. The Varsity coach, Charles Echols, already had his Varsity
team picked out. If he liked somebody on JV then he would bring them up, if he didn't think someone was good enough for Varsity then he would drop them down. For practice the teams did drills and went over their defensive and offensive plays. At the end of practice the two would scrimmage. JV mid-fielder Chris Denby said, "The team really picked up this season. We had better teamwork and that's why we had a winning season. People took leadership when they had to."

Varsity midfielder, Jason Skipper, commented, " When there is teamwork we perform and when there is not we don't." As for the upcoming season Jason said, "We should do pretty well because we have a lot of experience on our team and we will have some younger guys stepping up."
