There has been an influx of new appointments in the past few months. Some are new faces to St Andrew’s, while others have taken up key appointments within the organisation. We give them all a hearty St Andrew’s welcome. ALINA GERHARDY

Human Resources Manager Alina joined St Andrew’s in September 2020. She has worked in HR for 12 years including nine years at Veolia and the previous two years at HCA International (private healthcare) in London. Alina holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management as well as a Bachelor degree in Marketing. She has joined the HR department to provide generalist Human Resources advice and management at the hospital across the full spectrum of HR including performance management, recruitment, remuneration and benefits, and employee relations. In her spare time, Alina is a busy mum to two boys, Alexander and Hudson.

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Health Information Management) and has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years in private medical practice, regional public hospitals, and state health department. Prior to joining the hospital, Amanda worked with Power Health Solutions, a software development company where she had a long association with St Andrew’s.

Originally from Orange NSW, Jason worked for nine years as Finance Manager of Dudley Private Hospital, a Ramsay Health Care owned hospital. Prior to this, he worked in the UK as Registration Fees Manager of General Medical Corporation, the registration body for the UK medical profession.

Her role is to enhance and manage our clinical costing and revenue modelling system, Power Performance Manager, to improve understanding of operating costs within St Andrew’s and how they relate to the specific service that the hospital provides. KERENE KITSCHKE

Clinical Project Lead Kerene has worked at St Andrew’s Hospital for 15 years in a variety of roles including Clinical Nurse in CCU & DOSA, Acting Clinical Manager in CCU, as well as a team member in two projects with wide practice changes (development and introduction of CGov and PIVC practice changes). Appointed to the Clinical Project Lead role in September 2020, Kerene is involved in working with many staff around the organisation on a variety of projects and contract management, CAPEX program, DOSA and paediatric ward refurbishments.

He is honoured to have joined the St Andrew’s family, which he feels offers the advantages of a large hospital but the close-knit feel of a friendly community. Jason looks forward to working with St Andrew’s Hospital for many years to come. DALE DALTON

Clinical Manager - 3rd Floor Dale re-joined St Andrew’s Hospital as Clinical Manager in October 2020. He had previously been with the hospital in 2000 for 10 years, before moving to a Clinical Nursing position at Calvary, North Adelaide. During his time away from St Andrew’s, Dale completed formal qualifications in oncology and nursing management working in roles including Clinical Manager in oncology/haematology, clinical trials and aged care. He says, “Although a lot has changed at St Andrew’s in the 20 years I’ve been away, there are still things that are comfortingly reassuring and familiar. It’s nice to be back and I look forward to working with everyone as I settle into my new position.”
