to Five . . . from One On a Scale
How would you rate your gift-giving skills? I’m a solid two. Seriously . . . send help! Thankfully, I know some truly amazing gift-givers who inspire me. Our Stampin’ Up! community is full of them!
I’ve observed that meaningful gift-givers focus on who they’re giving to and what might bring their recipients joy, comfort, and love. They put thought and care into each gesture, whether it’s an actual present, a card with a meaningful message for a variety of occasions (see p. 5 for some ideas), or simply the gift of time spent together and creating new memories.
Meaningful gift giving is about the little things that make people feel loved, appreciated, and truly seen.
One of the best gift-givers I know is my sisterin-law, Mandy. For Sean’s parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, she took the lead on their gift from all the children. She thought of everything they’d need for an anniversary trip: gift cards for petrol and meals, and snacks for the road. Then she added fun options for their stay, like puzzles, games, and a dinner out. She gathered
everything in a beautiful basket topped with gold tissue and a big “50”. It was so thoughtful and so well-planned.
That’s what I admire most about gift giving: the time, the thought, and the attention to detail. It’s also one way we can make a difference by sharing what we love with the people we care about to build deeper connections. Whatever or however you choose to give, remember . . . it’s about who you’re giving it to.
I hope this giving season is one full of love with those you cherish most.

From diagnosis to treatment and recovery, people impacted by breast cancer face countless challenges, and no one should go through it alone. If you know someone affected by breast cancer, offer your support and send a thoughtful card, connect people to resources, or simply be present—you can help ease the journey and remind them they aren’t alone.
We asked Stampin’ Up! employees who have had breast cancer for advice to those diagnosed, and they all said the same thing: Accepting help can be hard, but you deserve to be cared for. Please take up offers of help from those around you.
