Each term Art Club in the Junior School begins with a new group of students and new art and craft projects. Running over two days a week, the girls are arranged into an early year’s group (Years 1 to 3) and upper primary group (Years 4 to 6). Prep girls are welcome to join from Semester Two. Projects are inspired by a range of sources including picture books, STEAM activities and the girls’ own interests, and include painting and drawing, textiles and threedimensional pieces. Participation in Art Club can be great way to develop important motor skills, foster social interactions within and across year levels, enhance emotional growth and grow confidence. Girls participating in Art Club in the Junior School have the opportunity to learn new skills in an informal setting and experiment with a number of art materials.
