Zombie Prom

Director’s Notes Thank you for supporting StageCoach Theatre, our cast and crew by coming today to see our production of Zombie Prom. This musical is a farce in the best sense of the word. The campy, stereotypical characters presented to you are meant to whole-heartedly delight and entertain our audience members. Every person involved in this production has strived to deliver their best performance by personalizing each character as a unique person. As you get to know our Senior Class of Enrico Fermi High, and the adults in their lives, you may be reminded of a person or two that you know in real life. This art-drawn-from-life approach brings even more humor to this beloved musical comedy. I also truly love being part of a production that, in the process of entertaining people, can also still present a very important message of acceptance. Acceptance of people, or zombies, who are different from us. People and zombies who challenge the rules laid out before them to follow their dreams and therefore create a new norm of acceptance is how we grow as individuals and as a society. After all, when it really comes down to it, we really are just (human) beings who all want to be safe, happy, part of a community, and most of all loved. Sarah

Katie Pond is an old veteran of StageCoach Theatre. She absolutely loved learning the character of Delilah Strict! Past performances have included Annie (RCP), numerous cabarets and murder mysteries here at StageCoach, and was last seen as Bernice in A Don’t Hug Me Christmas Carol. She would like to thank her family, especially her kids and Doug who have shared her during this process! She is always thankful as well for her home here at StageCoach.

Toffee - Sophia Hughes

Candy, Mother, Secretary, Make-up Lady Hannah Visser

Coco, Secretary Sheila - Sarafina Porter

Sarafina Porter is a sophomore at Woodgrove High School, where she is a part of the Grove Theater. The Grove will be putting on Puffs the play in November. She feels so fortunate to be a part of Zombie Prom. It has been a fantastic couple of months working on the production!

Josh, Announcer - Larry David Ratliff

Larry David is excited to be in his first production with StageCoach. He’s no stranger to the stage, and has worked in all areas from tech to performance. A theatre/performance graduate from Radford University in 2018, he went on to work for Virginia Children’s Theatre for 4 years before moving to Centerville. He now works at Broad Run High School, acting as a technical director for their theatre program. Enjoy the show!

Zombie Prom

Jessie, Stage Manager - Leah Graham

Eddie Flagrante - Geoff Hardy

Hey! Hey! Hey! Geoff is excited to be in his first show with StageCoach! Favorite roles include Sir Lionel in Camelot (TAT) and Prince Charming in Cinderella (MTA). When not on stage he can be found on running crew or on the sofa at home. Love to Sarah, Evan and Emma.

Mr. Harlow, Father, Motorwise Guy - Ryan Franks

Ryan is receiving his BFA in Acting from the University of Community Theatre Learn As You Go, as well as studying Environmental Science and Policy at George Mason. When he's not at rehearsal, Ryan enjoys spending time in his backyard jungle with his elderly pooch Bro and being the ultimate Wife Guy. He would like to thank Alex for supporting him in every single thing and for having a booty that won't quit.

Sarah Hardy, Director/Choreographer

Sarah is excited to be working on her third production with StageCoach Theatre, and her first time directing her husband! Sarah has been active in the NoVa community theatre scene for over 25 years, doing everything from props to stage managing, hair/make-up to directing. She has even been on stage in various acting roles. Sarah's all-time favorite shows she has been a part are Steel Magnolias (SP and STC), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (MTA), and You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (MTA). Much love to Emma for her support.

Ashley McGee, Assistant Director

Ashley is excited to be working on her fourth StageCoach Theatre show. Her recent directing credits include The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) (Stagecoach Theatre), Oliver! (Sterling Playmakers), and Anything Goes (Sterling Playmakers). Ashley has loved this silly, quirky show since she first heard of it in high school, and is grateful for the opportunity to finally share it with you all. All my love to Corey, Joshua, and her heavenly father.

Wyndy Fredrick, Music Director

The US Navy moved her family here a few years ago, and retirement allowed them to stay! Wyndy and her husband Ted were able to return to their roots in musical theatre. She has been involved as a musician, vocal coach, choral director, and music director for about 25 local theatre shows. She teaches music classes at Compass Homeschool Enrichment, sings in 3 choral groups, directs a handbell choir, and teaches from her own Music Fun Studio in Herndon. This show has been a BLAST. Many thanks to a very talented cast & crew, especially our music tech August!!! Enjoy the show!
