Legal Practice Course (Blended Learning) DURATION: 1 YEAR FULL-TIME

Course outline:

Module overview:

This course is the postgraduate stage on the route to becoming a solicitor. It represents a practical training for the solicitors’ profession, where you’ll learn how to put law into practice. Most students study the LPC after passing a Law degree or gaining a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL). You’ll need to have a Qualifying Law Degree or have met CPE/GDL requirements before you start the Legal Practice Course. New for 2016/17 is the combined program from the LPC and LL.M in Legal Practice which is a full Master’s degree leading to a LL.M In Legal Practice.

Core modules:

Blended learning: This highly intensive route is available over one year full-time (around 32 hours of study per week), or up to two years part-time (16 hours of study per week). The course is taught 90% online, with face-to-face teaching particularly in relation to legal skills. You’ll need broadband access and other specific computer equipment, along with good IT skills, a high level of motivation and a disciplined approach to self study.
