LETTER FROM CHRISTINE

Robert Louis Stevenson reminds us that “to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive.” Here at Unison, we believe that the Arts are a glorious adventure. Whether it is re-visiting established classics or facing the terra incognita of new work or emerging artists, we can count on the journey to be exciting. And fortunately, we are blessed with a curious and courageous audience that travels alongside us, season after season, to see where we’ll go.

This spring we will push our artistic boundaries with new programs, new voices, new ways of telling familiar stories, and new artistic destinations. We will tour savvy music and smart conversations in our Second Sunday Salons; we will move to the beat of the music in our Fifth Friday Dance Meet Ups; we will revisit old friends like Christine Lavin; make new friends like the hilarious Maestrosities; we will take the entire family along in our Family Fun series; and venture on exotic voyages with Pirates, Clowns and Flamenco Dancers. We can’t wait to get started. Won’t you join us? This 2013 spring season is filled with adventure, bold challenges and a core of imagination intended to transcend our increasingly flat world. We dedicate our Spring ’13 Season to you, our members, audience and fellow travelers. Our journey is our destination. All aboard! Warmly,

YOUR GIFT MATTERS VOLUNTEER Your Gift Matters. Together We Can Do Great Things. Unison was founded by artists and creative people. It continues to this day to be led by artists, with actors, designers and writers in key positions. Unison understands that focusing on the artist creates a bond that extends beyond the edge of the stage and out into the audience, and into the community beyond. Unison fosters creativity and community on an intimate scale: serving our region one person at a time. Ticket revenue covers less than 60% of the operating costs associated with all our programming. Like all non-profit institutions, we rely on the generous contributions of loyal patrons and local businesses to bridge the gap. Donors are a critical part of Unison's artistic team, ensuring that we can continue to make the Mid-Hudson Valley a great place to raise children, and an even better place to raise adults. Unison provides many options for supporting our programs through charitable gifts. Additionally, each giving and membership level provides the donor with certain benefits. Ask us for a complete listing of donor benefits at each giving level. There are many ways that you can support Unison Arts through your contributions. Please consider making a gift today at www.unisonarts.org.

help support unison

Each year our wonderful Unison volunteers log many thousands of hours, doing everything from ushering to behind-the-scenes support. Our wonderful and dedicated volunteers are incredible assets and we applaud them all with standing ovations!

Avid volunteers at Unison: Annie O'Neill, Joan McDonald, Carol Himmel, Viven Stokes

If you are interested in volunteering and would like to get in on the fun, contact us at info@unisonarts.org or call 845-255-1559. Please be sure to include your name, email address and local phone number in your message so we can contact you. Areas of possible involvement might include: ushering, database entry, general clerical, baking, parking assistance, poster hanging, and much more!

Your contribution plays a critical role in the work we are producing now and the work we aspire to create in the future. Thank you for making it all possible.
