MUSIC MINISTRIES New Song (a.k.a. Glitter Girls!) Holding Auditions

So Long, Farewell, auf Wiedersehen…

New Song, St. Luke’s all-women’s choir, is looking for new members for its upcoming 2009-2010 season. Auditions will be Saturday, May 30 from 10AM-2PM in the Chancel Choir rehearsal room. Other audition times can be arranged if needed.

How do members of St. Luke’s Chancel Choir prepare for a long trip overseas? By singing, of course! Join the choir for a Farewell Concert on Sunday, June 14, at 4 PM, and hear the selections that singers will take with them to Austria and Hungary in the following days. The hour-long concert will feature favorites old and new arranged and written by American composers such as Aaron Copland, Alice Walker and Mack Wilberg. A freewill offering will go toward the costs of the concert and tour expenses.

New Song sings during Sunday services once a month and for special concerts sponsored by St. Luke’s Performing Arts. To schedule an audition, contact Cheryl West, Director, at 595-0638.
