“As Catholics, we believe that every life is sacred. Each person is created in the image and likeness of our loving God. Violence and abuse of any kind are unacceptable, and we have a serious responsibility to work towards their end. Together, we must do everything we possibly can to protect children.” ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Now in the second week of Advent, Assumption Catholic School is celebrating the gift of peace and what it means in our world. The school does this through the Peacemaker Award. Two students in each grade are selected by their teachers because of the way they demonstrate that month’s theme. In November, the theme was faith. Student ambassadors then present each winning student with a medal at the school Mass on the last Friday of the month. Congratulations to the recipients of November’s Peacemaker Award! “We chose Assumption because it encourages and enforces the same values of kindness, respect, hard work, and integrity that we foster at home. We love the community and especially the teachers who truly know each student and work with the individual child to bring out their full potential.” -- Stephanie Wolf
