January 2021
Dear Parents & Guardians: Greetings from Saint Joseph Academy! I hope this finds you doing well and enjoying your first weeks of 2021. I continue to be impressed with the level of commitment, passion, and care shown for our school by all stakeholders – students, parents, alumni, and the entire Brownsville community. Saint Joseph Academy is proud of our quality, innovative programs rooted in the Marist Catholic tradition, and we are confident that our students will reap the benefits of the St. Joe experience throughout their lifetime. We make every effort to provide a well-rounded and balanced middle and high school experience rooted in the Marist Catholic tradition, college-preparatory academics, robust athletic/extracurricular programming, and Christian Service —all while remaining affordable and accessible during these unstable economic times. In establishing the tuition rate each year, Saint Joseph Academy works hard to keep tuition affordable and is in-line with the ‘cost of living’ adjustment. For the 2021-2022 school year, there will be a modest 2.2% tuition increase equaling $240 a year or $20 per month, making the annual tuition $11,220.00 or $935.00 per month. Registration for new students remains at $650.00 and registration for returning students remains at $600.00. Any family that finds difficulty with the current tuition rate is encouraged to apply to the school’s Tuition-Assistance Program. The TuitionAssistance Program application has a deadline of February 28 th and is open to all families, as over 20% of SJA students currently receive some form of tuition-assistance. More information about the process can be found on the SJA website under the “Admissions > Tuition & Financial Assistance” tab or by contacting the finance office. Information regarding enrollment for next school year will be sent to you in the near future, and like last year, our registration process is now all online! Your tuition investment allows Saint Joseph Academy to provide the best possible faculty, offer a collegepreparatory academic program that delivers our Marist mission, and implement enriching opportunities for your child to grow—both academically and spiritually, helping us mold our students into SAINTS and SCHOLARS. I am proud to be the leader of Saint Joseph Academy and be assured that next year’s tuition increase will help our faculty, staff, and administration better serve families and ensures a stronger future for our school. We know that you make a significant investment in your child’s education, and I thank you for entrusting us with your greatest treasure. Sincerely, Mr. Michael Motyl President
