The “Magicube� is a library that designed for young adults in Clifton, and the main purpose for this library is creating a community space not only for those young adults to contect and communicate with each other, but also provide a great space to learning and thinking.

The basic concept is the “Rubik‘s cube“, which is an interesting toy that can train those young adults’ rational thinking skill. Each side of this library served a specific funtion: basement is mainly for paper book; the top floor is for digital book and gaming lab; the fire stairs and restroom are in the East side; North and West side are social space, study area; the South side are working space for stuffs. Arrangement of the plan is very rational and work like a Rubik’s cube, which is part of the concept of “training rational thinking skill”, and also provide a fun exterior form of the building.
LABYRINTH The special program room will be a labyrinth.Young adults can choose enter this room from second floor and pass a simple labyrinth, in order to enter the chess and card room in third floor, or just enter the chess and card room in the third floor. If people cannot pass the labyrinth, there is a mirror on the ceiling that can help them. The labyrinth area is not only a fun space fo circulation, but also providing some interesting magazine or manga when people find it is a dead end. There are some game that can train those young adults’ rational thinking skill, which is of course the Rubik’s cube, chess, puzzles etc.

Windviewer Nature Center

The WindViewer Nature Center is surrounded by tree, water, wind, a nd fresh air, and provide a best view of lake for the vistors.The shape of the building captures the windpath.

Also this nature center provide an opportunity for people to study plant knowledge from its perfect illustration system and open plant mystery in nature, because there a re some classrooms and labs in this nature center. As a result, this nature center also mimic the shape of books.

This project is mainly focused on redesign the King Cafe, and try to bring people into the space. In order to achieve this goal, the main concept is “continious line and shape�, which can lead people in to the King Cafe.

This painting studio has two floor and a loft for bedrooms. The main concept of this painting studio deisign is “using color to represent the world�. The natural color in the first and second floor represent the earth, and blue in loft represent the sky.
