Questions about specific camps should be directed to the camp's instructor. *Deposits are non-refundable and due at the time of registration. Fee balances are due in full on May 8. Withdrawal from a summer program for which you have paid in full must be transacted at least two weeks prior to the first day of camp in order for the fee (less deposit) to be refunded. If a camp does not reach its minimum number of students, you will be notified of the cancellation and refunds will be issued prior to the start of camp.

WHAT'S THE DRAMA

FUN FOR THE YOUNG

This camp will explore literacy and drama. During the week, campers entering kindergarten through 2nd grade will get creative! Drawing off a beloved children's story, campers will turn the story into a play, culminating with a performance the last day of camp. Each day campers will work as a team. They will practice acting, dancing, and discovering new ways to be creative. On Friday, parents, family and friends are invited to see the final performance.

School is out, but the fun doesn’t have to stop. Fun for the Young offers two full weeks of fun in the sun for both current and new incoming St. Anne’s kindergarteners and preschoolers. Char Brady, St. Anne’s preschool coteacher, will be facilitating a summer program especially designed for early childhood learners. From the moment they arrive, the children who attend Fun for the Young will be busy with handson, interactive activities. Campers will explore nature, friendship, art, science and music. Through these activities, they will be given opportunities to practice interpersonal skills, self-regulation, fine and gross motor skills and cognitive skills, all while being creative, imaginative and playful. DIGITAL DESIGNERS

SUPERHERO TRAINING & ART CAMP

This exciting camp is offered to students entering grades 1 through 3. Students will create superhero art through clay, paint, and fabric. Session 1 will go more in depth with these art media. Not only will they build on their own imagination to create, but they will also do various movement exercises to help facilitate creativity. In addition to working with various art supplies, they will play games and discover inspiration from current superhero art, comics and graphics. There will also be water play on the last day! Get excited to create and explore your artistic self in this fun camp!

Digital Designers is open to students entering grades 3 through 8. This camp uncovers how technology works and shapes our world by learning about core concepts such as coding and digital design, as well as more advanced topics like 3D printing, virtual reality, multimedia production and robotics. Each day we will embark on a mission to increase our digital skill-set from the technical to the creative, while also learning what it means to be a safe and responsible technologist. It will take place in the Techsperience Lab. Rookie Division This division is designed for students entering grades 1 through 3 in the fall of 2020. Instruction and play will focus on the development of basic locomotor and nonlocomotor skills, such as running, dodging, jumping and sliding. Emphasis will be placed on the mastery of beginning-level sports skills. Daily activities will include catching, throwing, dribbling, striking, kicking, and shooting in both game and station situations. These skills form the foundation of many sports including soccer, basketball, softball, lacrosse, and volleyball.

SPORTS CAMP St. Anne’s Sports Camp has been an extremely popular day camp for over two decades. Boys and girls entering grades 1 through 7 during the fall of 2020 are encouraged to enroll. Campers may register for one or two weeks. Planned activities will include developmentally appropriate skill instruction, station challenges, and game play. Motor skill improvement is balanced with an emphasis on fun, sportsmanship and camaraderie. The cost of Sports Camp for the rookie 
division and the major league division is $320 per week. This includes drinks, a daily snack, and a camp T-shirt. Campers should bring lunch daily. Major League Division Students entering grades 4 through 7 in the fall of 2020 are invited to enroll in the major league division of Sports Camp. Instruction will emphasize the development of intermediate and advanced sports skills. Daily activities will include catching and throwing, dribbling, striking, kicking, and shooting. These skills will be practiced with an emphasis on speed, quickness, and agility. Special 
attention will be given to throwing; catching and shooting “on the move”; sequential motor skill development; defensive form; game strategies; and teamwork. Campers will be challenged in drills, stations, and game play in various sports and activities including basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, soccer, softball, team handball, and floor hockey. Special Note: Due to field maintenance and construction, this camp will take place indoors and in various outdoor locations on and off campus. *There is no summer extended day program.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ADVENTURE CAMP Every day is a new adventure! In this overnight camp, students entering grades 6, 7, 8 or 9 will go geocaching, hiking, stargazing, mountain biking, paddle-boarding, and tent camping. Throughout our explorations we will be learning about self-care in the wilderness, respecting nature, and appreciating what the outdoors offer. Evenings will be filled with campfires, games, and storytelling. Campers will be encouraged to step outside their comfort zones to try new things and learn more about themselves and their peers. Home base is St. Anne’s in the Hills, and we will go adventuring from there!

WILDERNESS SURVIVAL CAMP AT SAITH

Does your child enjoy the outdoors? This day camp is available for Grades 3 - 5. Children will spend 5 days at St. Anne’s in the Hills learning basic wilderness skills. We will learn how to build shelters, purify water, build fires, identify flora and fauna, read maps, and administer basic first aid. Additional time will be given to building forts and exploring St. Anne’s in the Hills. Through exploration, students will gain a love for the outdoors, work on team building skills, and begin to understand the many elements of respecting and appreciating nature. ORIGAMI & BEYOND This camp will offer one full week of origami and fun activities (traditional games from Eastern Asia)! The camp is for students entering grades 2 - 5. Leap into Literacy is for Lower School students entering Grades 1 - 5. Campers of all ability levels are welcome. We will use explicit, systematic, multi-sensory, researchbased teaching methods to preview and review content from each grade level. Students will engage in various activities and games with a focus on reading, spelling, fluency, comprehension, and writing skills. Leap into Literacy is an excellent way to help your child ease back into the school routine, get to know students in the other grades, and learn through participating in fun and engaging activities. MINDFUL MOVES CAMP

MATH BLAST CAMP

Do you love to move? Students entering K-2nd grades will play games, practice agilities and learn the basics of dance, yoga and mindfulness in this fun camp. Children will learn different strategies to master math facts using hands-on, interactive math games. The lessons will be differentiated based on each student’s needs. STUDY SKILLS PREP CAMP

Research shows that effective study skills, routines, and habits lead to a more successful academic experience. Study Skills Prep Camp is for students entering grades 6-8 of all ability levels and will use explicit, interactive, multi-sensory research-based teaching methods to help students develop lifelong strategies for successful learning, studying, and test-taking. Campers will engage in various activities with a focus on strengthening their planning and prioritizing, organizational, and checking skills. They will also explore various strategies around metacognition and self-advocacy. Campers will have time to practice their note-taking, annotating, and highlighting skills. Study Skills Prep Camp is an excellent way to help your child ease back into the school routine, get to know students in the other grades, and learn through participating in fun and engaging activities.

The camp will focus on developing fundamental basketball skills while emphasizing the fun of the game. Campers of all abilities are welcome. Daily camp activities will include individual skill development, competitions, and games. Campers will be challenged daily to reach their highest potential and can expect a camp experience that will be fun, educational, and rewarding.
