Inspires You! Anyone who has been to the College’s Kings Road site since the academic year began will have seen the College’s employability centre, theworkspace. Since opening its doors to students in September 2011, theworkspace has provided over 150 different events, talks and sessions, and has been accessed by almost 1,600 students looking to enhance their skills. Theworkspace is a place for you, where you can improve your chances of gaining employment, an Apprenticeship or a higher education place. In theworkspace you can develop your skills and abilities in communications, the ability to work as part of a team, self-confidence and self-worth. You can also go there to develop your CV writing and job hunting skills, and interview techniques. In February, Lee McQueen - winner of BBC TV’s The Apprentice - visited the College to deliver a talk about his extraordinary route into business. He also shared some of the secrets of his success with students. His visit kick-started National

Apprenticeship Week at the College and was inspirational to students. Why is theworkspace important?
