A spine currently exists in downtown los angeles that facilitates movement along the 101. Although this spine is an essential piece of infrastructure that supports the automobile, it creates a strong disconnect from the plane directly above. We saw ample potential in this condition and delved into an intense procedure of extracting urban samples and information, examining these items and then injecting our creativity and innovation into the site. This space is now reinforced by this process and acts as a district that will provide cohesion to the severed urban environment.
