EVENT RECAP

Blessing and Dedication

This past summer found several areas on St. Philip’s campus in the midst of renovation. On October 19, a Blessing and Dedication was held to officially unveil four new spaces and acknowledge the friends who made these lovely additions to the St. Philip’s campus a reality. As a result of the thoughtful and generous support of Rob Landin, Chris and Ann Mahowald, Ellen and John McStay, and Curtis E. Ransom, our campus now includes:

The Curtis E. Ransom Gallery in our Life Center Building showcases posters commemorating the opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC.

The Landin Family Literacy Library, located in the Legacy Building, is dedicated to St. Philip’s Academic Support program that includes tutoring and therapy for our students with dyslexia.

The Little Morningstar Chapel Garden, adjacent to the Life Center Building, received a gorgeous facelift with new landscaping and sitting areas.

The Mahowald Family Conference Suite provides a critical upgrade in the Legacy Building and includes renovated offices for our Principal, Principal’s Assistant, and a large conference room.

This Is Us

On North Texas Giving Day, St. Philip’s School and Community Center showed the world that we are a community of believers, a community of open hearts, a community of open hands, a community of open minds, a community of givers and leaders,

THIS IS US.

On behalf of every child, every classroom, every neighbor, every household, every block, every mind, and every heart touched and transformed by the St. Philip’s ministry, we extend our gratitude to every donor and volunteer for their support of our NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY effort. We not only exceeded our monetary goal of $100,000 but garnered great participation among our trustees (100%), students (100%), faculty/staff (95%), and families (65%). The day would not have been a fundraising success without the generous support of our matching donors – longtime friends, Lyn and John Muse and parents Katrina and

William Keyes.
