She maintains calm under pressure and demonstrates the dedication necessary to continue to improve. Mikayla has been an outstanding contributor as a member of the varsity girls’ hockey team, helping to lead the team to three COSSA gold medals and a COSSA silver medal and representing the school at three OFSAA Hockey Championships. Her lacrosse success is equally impressive, earning two OFSAA bronze medals in 2013 and 2014, and receiving the MVP award this year for her solid performance and leadership. Mikayla is planning on attending Trent University where she will study Business Administration in the fall.

Sr. Male Athlete of the Year... Josh Lorentz Josh excels in athletics and has achieved amazing success at the COSSA level in both individual and team pursuits as a member of the football, hockey, and track and field teams. In his junior year, he was the youngest defenseman selected to the boys’ varsity hockey team and his impact since then has been deep and lasting, winning three COSSA gold medals as well as OFSAA gold and bronze medals during his three years with the program. He is a leader both in the dressing room and on the ice, and he is well respected by his teammates and coaches for the high quality character he demonstrates in his role as team captain. He joined the track and field team in his grade 10 year and has since garnered a great deal of success as a member of this team, earning numerous COSSA and Eastern Regional appearances. His academic standing at St. Peter is equally impressive and certainly does not pale in comparison to his athletic success. He maintains a very high academic average and has accepted a spot at the University of Waterloo in the Actuarial Science program for the fall.
