Letter from the Mayor of Coral Springs: Scott Brook

Dear Coral Springs Residents,

So many great things are happening in our fantastic city of Coral Springs. Maybe the most exciting thing that we are involved with in our city is the redevelopment of our downtown. Rod Sheldon and his team at Cornerstone are putting together a very exciting project with a Hyatt hotel, residences for rent and many great retail stores. There will be areas to stroll and sit in and LIVE MUSIC. Our whole City is looking forward to this landmark development, which will house various forms of entertainment for people of all ages! Across the street on the Northwest corner we’re looking forward to the next portion of our downtown redevelopment as Amera Corporation will also be a home to new downtown residents with various retail shops and many other wonderful amenities for our community. These projects will diversify our tax base and will help us keep our taxes low, while our community grows and has more offerings for entertainment and housing.

Sunset Trails Townhomes will also come on line in the near future. The currently vacant 19.03 acre site is located on the north side of Wiles Road near the intersection at Coral Ridge Drive and Wiles Road. The proposed project seeks to build 147 townhome units and associated recreational amenities including cabana, pool, tot lot and walking trails. We are so lucky to live in this City for many reasons, including our Volunteers, our

First Responders, our local Hospital and the strong public schools in Coral Springs.

The family orientation of our City and the countless amount of Entrepreneurs that call our city home are two of the reasons that make our City unique. Over the summer, please consider putting your child in Camp Broadway at the Center for the Arts and save July 4th for another outstanding show put on to celebrate our Country’s independence.
