top pointS for rego and Swift ANETTE Rego and Mark Swift won the Ladies and Men’s divisions with 38 and 39 points respectively and cut their handicaps in the process in the first monthly Stableford Eclectic of the season. The Stableford Eclectic is played once a month over the season. The competition is for each competitor to try and better their monthly hole-by-hole points score, the winner will be the one who has the most points at the end of the season. Runners up to Anette and Mark were Anina Bester, 36 points, and Mark Sutherland, 38 points. There were two ‘2s clubs’ recorded on the day by Martin Sutherland on the 16th and Dennis Cox on the third.

THE first Monthly Medal of the new season, sponsored by Nicholas Stevenson, was played in hot and humid conditions but that didn’t deter a field of over 50 taking to the course. In the Ladies Division the in-form Lizette Breytenbach carded a net 68 to win by nine strokes from Anina Bester and cut her handicap to 11 in the process. The Men’s ‘A’ Division saw the best scores of the day with Mark Hayman
