AWARD-WINNING STEAK AT RUTH’S CHRIS NOT for nothing was Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, voted ‘Best Steakhouse’ when the first ever BBC Good Food Middle East Awards took place at The Westin Mina Seyahi. Dining at Ruth’s Chris is an exceptional and unforgettable experience from start to finish. Situated on the first floor of The Monarch Hotel, Dubai, opposite the World Trade Centre on the Sheikh Zayed Road, the restaurant has a high-class yet warm and inviting feel to it. Each and every diner is made to feel like an important guest and the service is impeccable. On the menu the appetisers include such delights as the ‘Crabtini’ – colossal lump crabmeat tossed in vinaigrette and served with classic Creole remoulade sauce in a chilled martini glass; Seared Ahi Tuna; and Louisiana Seafood Gumbo. The entrees include Veal Chop with Sweet and Hot Peppers, Lamb Chops, and Fresh Lobster, while sweet lovers can feast on temptations such as Warm Apple Crumb Tart and Chocolate Sin Cake. But while the menu covers a whole spectrum of culinary masterpieces Ruth’s Chris is all about steaks and it’s here that the renowned restaurant truly excels. There is a huge choice of cuts including Filet, Ribeye, Cowboy Ribeye (extra large!), New York Strip and T-Bone. Each is carefully selected and aged to ensure tenderness before being seared to perfection at 1,800 degrees and topped with (optional) butter that sizzles seductively on your plate. The meat literally melts in your mouth and it’s clear that head chef Paul DeVisser and his team really know what they’re doing with manager Michael G. Szczepanski also doing a sterling job of carrying forward the standards that have seen Ruth’s Chris grow from humble beginnings in New Orleans 46 years ago to become the world’s largest fine dining company.
