Roger Espinoza played five seasons in Kansas City from 2008-12 before moving abroad to Wigan Athletic FC. After a two-year stint in the English Premier League and English Championship, Espinoza returned to Sporting KC in 2015 and tallied one goal and four MLS assists. His 2015 campaign was cut short due to a left foot injury sustained in early August, but returned to the fold as a regular starter in 2016. So far in 2018, Espinoza has already recorded a career-high eight assists.

In two years at Wigan Athletic, he logged 57 appearances, including eight in the UEFA Europa League, and started in the club’s 2013 FA Cup Final victory over Manchester City. Evans, who lifted his first MLS Cup in 2008 with Columbus Crew SC, spent each of the last nine seasons with Seattle Sounders FC, where he won four Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup championships and the 2016 MLS Cup.
Seattle selected Evans in the 2009 MLS Expansion Draft ahead of their inaugural season, and won three consecutive U.S. Open Cups from 2009-2011. In the 2014 campaign as club captain, Evans helped Seattle capture another U.S. Open Cup and win its first Supporters’ Shield. In 2016, Evans scored his penalty kick as Seattle beat Toronto FC to win the MLS Cup.
Evans joined Columbus Crew SC as the No. 15 overall pick in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft out of UC Irvine. In his second season with the Crew, he scored six goals across 31 league appearances, helping Columbus win the Supporters’ Shield and MLS Cup double.
Evans has earned 27 appearances for the U.S. National Team. He competed at the 2009 and 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cups and started five matches during the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying cycle, helping the United States advance to the final tournament in Brazil.
