A análise da dinâmica dos diversos sectores da economia nacional apresentados nesta secção, baseiase fundamentalmente nos dados das 100 Maiores Empresas do ano 2012, de acordo com os indicadores económico-financeiros, tendo em consideração a evolução de cada sector relativamente ao ano anterior (2011). O volume de negócios é liderado pelo sector de Indústria, com um peso de 29.57%, seguido do sector de Comércio com 20.58% e Serviços com 12.56% que juntos fazem mais de 60% do total de volume de negócio. Os sectores com menos peso são os de Alojamento, Restauração e Similares, com um peso de 0.60%, Agricultura e Pescas com 2.65% e Construção com 4.85%. O sector de Serviços, apresentou a maior variação do volume de negócios com uma taxa de 39.38%, seguido pelo sector de Transportes e Armazenagem com 22.18%, Agricultura e Pescas com 17.00% e Alojamento, Restauração e Similares com 11.70%. O sector da Indústria registou uma queda no crescimento do volume de negócios influenciado pelas empresas Mozal, SARL e Hidroelétrica de Cahora Bassa, SARL com quedas nas suas taxas na ordem de 19.58% e 15.90%. O sector da Indústria lidera o ranking dos resultados líquidos a nível sectorial, a semelhança do período anterior, com 8,699 milhões de MT, seguido pelos sectores de Actividades Financeiras e de Seguros, e o sector de Transportes e Armazenagem, com 5,415 milhões de MT e 3,108 milhões de MT, respectivamente.

Revenue is led by the Industry sector with 29.57%, followed by the Commerce sector with 20.58% and Services sector with 12.56%, together they account for more than 60% of the total revenue. The sector with least impact is Accommodation and Catering with 0.60% of the total followed by Agriculture and Fisheries sector with 2.65% and Construction sector with 4.85%. The Services sector presented the greatest variation in revenue with a rate of 39.38%, followed by the Transport and Storage sector with 22.18%, Agriculture and Fisheries sector with 17.00% and Accommodation Restaurants and Similar sector with 11.70%.
