The material for both classes is the same. The worksheets are included in the cost and get emailed to you to print for our lessons, and we go through them together in a live format online. I would just email you a link to click on. Super easy! During the 15 hours of instruction over 10 weeks, participants will learn to read, write, and speak in Czech. The class size is limited to 25 students so interested individuals are encouraged to register early to secure a spot.

CCMH hosts Czech language classes

CCMH Czech language classes are on hiatus for the winter holidays and will reconvene on Monday, January 23, 2023. Courses are free to all members. Annual memberships begin at $35.

Monthly Movie Nights

With the days shorter in winter months, CCMH has reinstated monthly movie nights. The next film will be shown on Friday, January 27 at 6 p.m. Check the online calendar for more information in early January.

Ennis Czech Music Festival February 18 at Sokol Hall

Come join the polka bands of Ennis, Texas, at the 16th Annual Ennis Czech Music Festival - a day filled with great music, dancing, food, drinks, and much more!

Ennis Czech Music Festival will be Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Sokol Hall, 2622 East Highway 34 in Ennis. Doors open at 12 p.m. with music from 1 to 10:30 p.m. Adult admission is $10, and kids 12 and under are free of charge.

Dance to four fabulous polka bands: The Moravians - 1 to 3 p.m.; Ennis Czech Boys - 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.; Jodie Mikula Orchestra - 6 to 8 p.m.; and Czech & Then Some - 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Come hungry because the Sokol kitchen will be serving Czech classics all day including klobase and sauerkraut. Fried catfish dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. The festival will also have a kid zone for the smallest of attendees.
