Dear Readers,

Lodge 25, Ennis youth visits hay maze
Dear Readers,
We didn’t have a meeting. I went to the hay maze with Babi (Babicka Laure Krajca) and my sister. There was a corn stalk teepee and a pumpkin patch. We played checkers with small pumpkins. It was fun. Kalynn Ryan, age 8 —SPJST—
Lodge 30, Taiton youth attends SPJST’s 125th anniversary celebration
On Saturday, October 15, 2022, I attended the celebration of SPJST’s 125 years. District Six held its Christmas ornament contest, and I received first place in my age category. It was a fun day of food, friends, and fellowship! I had fun seeing all of my friends from the surrounding communities! Sincerely, Bethany Baker, age 16 —SPJST—
Lodge 47, Seaton youth wins first place in Christmas ornament contest
Dear Vestnik Readers,
Halloween was a blast! I got like 200 pieces of candy. Well, almost! I got to see my friend. He came to my house to trick-or-treat. My brother is friends with his brother.
The trunk-or-treat at SPJST was successful. It was super fun. I invited one of my soccer team members. He won some of the cake walk items. It was super fun with him. During the Christmas ornament contest, I won first place with my snowman ornament. I wanted to hang it up on my Christmas tree, but I can’t. It has to go to the Home Office and hang on its tree.
I lost my last soccer game. It’s okay though; my team won third place.
School is going good. I got all E’s for behavior. I never got one S or one N or one U. My teacher is very nice. I get to go to GATE. My school is a STEM school.
Yesterday, I got my Christmas decorations out of the attic and set up our trees.
I got to play with my friend today. We were throwing balls over the fence and catching them. Unfortunately, a lot of the balls went into other people’s yards. It was super duper fun. I am super strong. I have a dog sitting on me right now. She’s looking at something. I think she’s looking at my backpack.
Today, we have to go to the board meeting. I think it’s called a board meeting because it’s super boring. My mom makes me go.
Sunday, November 6 was our last online youth meeting. Everyone was there, I think. I can’t wait to get SPJST points for being there.
See you later, alligator. Afterwhile, crocodile. See you at the next meeting. Andrew Ordogne, age 7 —SPJST—
Lodge 47, Seaton youth ready for Thanksgiving, Christmas
Dear Vestnik Readers

State Duchess Enjoys First-Ever Cars & Guitars Event at Camp Kubena
Ahoj! On Saturday, October 29, 2022, we had another fun day with our SPJST friends and family! My Queen Brooke Bacak and I were at the first-ever Cars & Guitars car show and music festival at Camp Kubena. There were so many cool cars and good food, it was hard to pick a favorite! My favorite part was showing my dad around Camp Kubena, and I can’t wait to be back there next summer!

favorite holiday. School is going well.
We recently had our fall fun day at the SPJST Seaton Star Hall. It went very well. I enjoyed playing the spinning wheel and the cake walk game. The food was delicious there, too. Our trunk- or-treat won first place because of our cute puppy and a jumping spider.
I cannot wait till standard time so it will not be dark in the mornings.
Have an excellent November! Fraternally, Travis Ordogne, age 10 —SPJST—

Lodge 30, Taiton Youth Meets Alex Meixner
October was Czech Heritage Month and along with the many SPJST events, I also went to see Alex Meixner at Taiton Community Center. He is a Grammy-nominated musician who was inducted into the International Polka Association Hall of Fame, and I was lucky enough to get his autograph on my new accordion! I am so excited to learn to play this instrument that is such a big part of our Czech heritage. Hudson Riha, age 9

Dear Vestnik Readers,
We had our Lodge 30, Taiton adult and youth club meeting on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. John Parish Hall. We discussed the newsletter from Mr. Frank in the most recent Vestnik and our thoughts and feelings about the upcoming changes. Our youth leader Mrs. Lisa was great for listening to everyone and helping us understand the changes.
Our next meeting will be Sunday, December 4 at Taiton Community Center at 3 p.m. We will be prepping the kitchen for the St. John games party that starts at 4 p.m., and our youth will serve the meal and participate in the games. We are all excited that Santa will be there for pictures, too! Simone Riha, age 13
