The Qualities of the Spirit – Challenging
God challenges us to grow along our paths. Growth never rests and opportunities come daily. I praise God for this Quality of the Spirit. It calls us beyond complacency. It calls us to grow and question. It provides us with puzzles and obstacles to give our faith a workout. If you have not read the book of Job in the Bible, I encourage you to do so. Of course, the Creator will not provide an obstacle for us that is so great we cannot handle it. However, the Source does call us to an excellence, so at times things will seem overwhelming. It is at that moment when we feel weak, that we must reach out to others for help. We are not alone in this world. God has placed people in key positions to help us. Part of being empowered is to know you can rely on others for help. Some of the points that come from the Quality of being Challenging: I am challenged, but I know God will not give me more than I can handle. I am challenged, but I know I have people in my life to help me. I am challenged, but there is an answer which will come from God to help me grow. God is never angry, mean, or malicious. God is not subject to man, but allows man Free Will, and to that extent which man submits to God for help, will God intervene either directly or through His people to assist mankind.
