Thetford Works Begin On Thetford’s Haling Path Work has begun to improve Thetford’s Haling Path as part of the Moving Thetford Forward Partnership.

Above: Haling Path Sign The project, which is the first major regeneration project to take place under Moving Thetford Forward will include the clean up of the path and the creation of a piled wall preventing the footway falling into the river. Works are due to be completed by the end of March at a cost of around £850,000 with £600,000 coming from Moving Thetford Forward and £250,000 from Norfolk County Council.

Attending the launch of the works at the Haling Path, William Nunn, Chairman of Moving Thetford Forward said: “The Haling Path has been in need of improvement for some time so it is great that the Moving Thetford Forward Partnership has been able to fund these works to begin. These works are the first of many regeneration projects planned for Thetford and it is very exciting for the town.”

Norfolk County Council will adopt the footway and piled wall and will therefore maintain it, in the future ensuring the finished cycleway footpath and wall should not fall into disrepair in the future. Possibly The Largest Table Top Sale Taking Place In Thetford! A local charity which runs a community Ballpark and a cooking club for young people is organising a fundraising event in Thetford to raise much needed finances to support its activities. The event is to take place on Saturday 23rd April from 10am and will be held at the Guildhall on Market place, Thetford. There will be lots of different stalls around including Liz Bishop Photography, Avon, Bodyshop, Jamie at Home, Lucy Lou Handbags, Jewellery, Home Made Cakes, Cards & Crafts, Local Charities, Raffle & Tombola and Supreme Soups etc….. Proceeds from the raffle & refreshments are to go to TCA activities for Young people in Thetford. Terry Jermy, TCA Project Co-ordinator explains “The TCA are committed to providing these activities to the young people of West Thetford, fundraising is always important but more so with our current climate. We have applied for various funding to help us continue for the
