EACH’s Summer of Colour raises £25,000 East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) Colour Dash events in Norwich and King’s Lynn have proven hugely popular, collectively raising over £25,000 so far. Over 1,200 participants have enjoyed the five-kilometre (3.1-mile) fun runs in Norfolk and being showered with clouds of coloured powder paint as they run! EACH Fundraiser, Tal Williams said: “We have been delighted by the response to our Colour Dash events this year. For those people who are worried they may have missed out, do not fear! We have two more events coming up, one in Lowestoft and, due to popular demand, we are returning to King’s Lynn. “The events are great fun and families can all take part and experience being showered in coloured paint for the morning, whilst raising money for EACH.” On Sunday 9th July, Lowestoft will host it’s first Colour Dash event at Normanston Park and already over 400 people have signed up. The second King’s Lynn event for 2017 is on Sunday 17th September at The Walks. The Cork family entered the Norwich Colour Dash in memory of Finnbar, their five-year-old son who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in March 2016. Following a course of intensive treatment, Finnbar sadly died five months later. The family received care at the EACH Quidenham Hospice including end of life at support at home from the Symptom Management Team.
