Christmas House Party at Fort Belan .. spend Christmas with friends in a unique location! Date: Mon 24th Dec 2012 - Fri 28th Dec 2012 Place: North Wales, Nr Canaerfon (LL54 5TP) # Cost: £299 (£319 Guest) sharing or £374 (£394 Guest) single occupancy (Deposit £50) Back by popular demand! This break is organised and hosted by Spice Yorkshire, with all Spice Groups sending members. This is a classic Christmas Break at an incredible place known as Fort Belan – a real favourite amongst Spice members. The break is planned as a “chilling out” and party break rather than a walking break although of course you are free to partake in some fresh air yourself! This fantastic building is situated right on the beautiful Welsh coast a few miles away from Historic Caernarfon. Inside the Fort walls, there are four houses all linked by an intricate network of passages. The houses were home to officers during the First and Second World War but the fort itself is much, much older. Through the archway is a raised terrace overlooking the Menai Straits complete with a row of 8 cannons, which were placed to protect the area from incoming ships. The whole area has an incredible atmosphere of history to it and the interior of each of the houses is beautiful. Wooden floors, huge dining tables, grand pianos .. and of course, it just has to be haunted! The story goes that a Nursery Nurse comes round and kisses you goodnight! Why Pay a Single Supp when you’re with Spice! Many people book our breaks on their own, so we don’t believe in penalizing the single traveler. If you prefer a single room, we usually have a few available at a supplement. However, we are more than happy arrange same sex room shares – and this is what most members opt for. Spicers are very friendly, so don’t worry if you don’t know anyone. You’ll be bonded into the “family” in no time and no doubt make some lasting friendships as well.
