1. Introducing The Speakeasy Spanish Language School Speakeasy was founded in 2001 in the vibrant city of Barcelona. Today we’re the leading low-cost Spanish Language School and welcome students from around the world to study with us. Our success is built on our unique immersive CASA program that offers 6 levels of Spanish across 10 course options enabling students to learn at their own level, style and pace. As an Instituto Cervantes accredited school Speakeasy offers it’s students an assurance of quality whilst at the same time being affordable. In addition its central location, small class sizes, native Spanish teachers, cultural activities and lively student community make it the perfect choice for today’s language learner.
An Overview of the Speakeasy structure Speakeasy was founded by Soren Kohnke in 2001 with a view to offering language learners high-quality Spanish language courses at low-cost prices. Today we have 9 modern classrooms with airconditioning and audio-visual facilities and a team of over 20 professionally qualified teachers headed by the Director of Studies Sandra Gobeaux Díaz.
Our student services Speakeasy provides its students with a range of free support services including: A student help desk to assist with general information inquiries Wi-Fi access throughout the school A computer room 2 coffee break areas A student card with access to discounts and offers Cultural activities including tours and day trips A self study library with DVD’s, books and study resources

A choice that is built around high quality Spanish Language courses at low-cost affordable prices. In addition our CASA program educational model adapts itself to the needs and levels of every student. We understand that people have different reasons for learning Spanish and different levels of ability within it. We’ll meet your customer at their level and take them where they want to go. Which means that you can refer your customers with confidence to courses that are right for them. Whilst also attracting new customers by offering a wider selection of innovative courses for them to choose from. How we work with Agent’s The Speakeasy Agent Program is designed to fully support our Agents to ensure that they generate the best results. All of our agents receive their own dedicated Agent Support Manager to assist them with all course details, promotional material, course bookings, commissions and general information requirements. Moreover we have an ‘open door’ communication policy with our Agents that encourages feedback and helps us develop ways of working that increase their performance and profitability.
5 3. The Speakeasy CASA Immersion Program For over 10 years Speakeasy has been helping students from around the world learn Spanish with breakthrough results using our unique CASA immersion program. By studying with us students are encouraged to listen, speak, read and write only in the language that they’re learning. This total immersion method creates a highly effective learning environment in which our students build their Spanish language ability floor by floor. Let’s imagine that learning Spanish is like building a house with different floors. You can’t build the next floor if the one below is not complete. That’s why our CASA program has 6 levels that help our students build their Spanish language floor by floor from beginner right through to advanced. The Common European Framework - CEFR The Common European Framework for languages outlines six levels of linguistic skill at Speakeasy we apply this model fully by offering all six levels from A1 Beginner to C2 Advanced. Our teaching methods and your customers At Speakeasy our teachers are committed to helping your customers achieve their language learning goals. All of our teachers are native Spanish speakers. They’re also Spanish Philology graduates who have specialised in teaching Spanish to foreigners. In addition they have been comprehensively trained to teach our unique CASA program. We have one of the lowest student-teacher ratios with a maximum of only 10 students per class. This creates an opportunity for your customers to learn, practice and develop their language skills with the constant support of a qualified teacher. By learning in an immersive environment they’ll gain not only the knowledge of another language but also the confidence they need to put it in to practice.
6 Our evaluation methods At Speakeasy we have developed a system for monitoring the progress of students and evaluating the quality of our teaching. This method of evaluation includes assessing the quality of materials, classroom experience and teaching methodology to ensure that our high standards are maintained. 7 4. Options for Everyone: Over 10 Spanish Courses At Speakeasy we have over 10 great Spanish language courses for your customers to choose from. STANDARD SPANISH COURSES 30 h/w Super Intensive This course is designed for students who want to dedicate themselves to learning Spanish. Students have 6 hours of class each day including 1 hour of Spanish conversation and 1 hour of Spanish culture. 20 h/w Intensive This course is our most popular course and offers students and easy effective way to learn Spanish. Classes are for 4 hours every day and are taught Mon-Fri in the morning or the afternoon. 10 h/w Semi-Intensive This course is 2 hours of Spanish every day, Monday to Friday, students would work regularly on their Spanish and are able to improve quickly. 06 h/w Night-Extensive This course is perfect for students who work or simply don’t have time to study Spanish during the day. Classes are held in the evenings either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday and each evening class is for 3 hours. EXAM PREPARATION COURSES DELE Exam Preparation (4 weeks x 20 h/w = 80 hours) Our DELE courses are designed to prepare students for whichever level of examination they choose from A1-C2. Course start dates: Spring, Summer and Autumn.
8 PRIVATE & SMALL GROUP COURSES Private & Small Group Lessons One to One, Two or Three Spanish lessons are designed for individuals with specific or shared learning goals. The teacher will adapt our CASA program to meet the students requirements 100%. This course is a great choice for individuals or friends, families and couples with the same level of Spanish and similar learning goals.
EXPRESS SPANISH COURSES 20 h/w Express and 30 h/w Express This course is built around our CASA immersion program and based on private lessons. With Express Spanish students get the one to one support they need to develop their Spanish language skills in the fastest time possible. Students can choose to study either 20 or 30 hours of Spanish a week. COMBINED SPANISH COURSES 12 h/w Combined and 24 h/w Combined This course is great for students who want to have group lessons with the added benefit of private lessons combined. With our combined Spanish course they have the best of both worlds. They get to enjoy the social aspect of studying in a group whilst still being able to focus on their specific learning needs. EXTRA SPANISH COURSES 5 h/w Conversation This course is designed for people who want to practice and improve their conversation skills further. Our Conversation course can be booked independently or in addition to our Intensive or Semi-Intensive Spanish course. Levels: From B1 Intermediate - C2 Advanced

Our Culture course can be booked independently or in addition to our Intensive or Semi-Intensive Spanish course. Levels: From B1 Intermediate - C2 Advanced LONG SPANISH COURSES Spanish Plus Intensive This course is a great option for students who want to study Spanish and live in Barcelona for a up to 48 weeks. Students study 20 hours of Spanish each week and cover up to 6 levels of our CASA program. * A Self Study Break is the opportunity for a student to take time out from their Intensive Spanish Course while maintaining their studies using our Self Study guides and learning materials. Spanish Plus Intensive courses do not include the DELE exam fee which is set by the Instituto Cervantes. Each Spanish Plus Intensive course is modular and can be designed in a way that is best for the student.
11 5. Our Accommodation Options For your customers having a nice place to stay is important when studying abroad. At Speakeasy our aim to offer accommodation will make them feel relaxed secure and at home. We have three types of accommodation for your customers to choose from. All of them offer Wi-Fi University residence Prices: B & B: 39 Euros Breakfast & Dinner: 47 Euros Full Board: 56 Euros prices per day If your customer would prefer to stay with other international and local students then a Student Residence is a great option. And the perfect place to find new friends. They can choose to have their meals included or cook their own food, all depending on their budget and needs. There is also an Internet cafe where they can connect their own laptop if needed. The residence is about 15 minutes from the school and city centre by Metro. If there are two or more people looking for accommodation then we also have double rooms available. Family homestay Prices: from: 32 Euros prices per day A family homestay is an excellent way for your customer to practise their Spanish and experience Spanish culture firsthand. They will have their own room, their own keys plus access to bathroom and laundry facilities. Breakfast and dinner are included and take place with the family. Most of our families live within 10 minutes by Metro from the school and the centre of town.
12 Shared private apartment Prices: from: 24 Euros prices per day A shared private apartment means that your customer will be a guest in an apartment of a Spanish person. Please note that typically there will be 1-2 rooms in the flat that are occupied by students. They will have their own room, their own keys and access to all shared areas of the flat. Food is not included. Most of the apartments are within 10 minutes by Metro from the school and the centre of town.
