be able to enhance our area and elevate it to world-class status,” Jansen continues. “Not that it needed improvement, in my opinion, but I welcome any upgrades that enrich our playing experience.” Jansen’s words echo what golfers from across the Southern Piedmont have long believed. While traveling to enjoy the game is fantastic, coming home to golf is uniquely special, too. “Playing day to day on a course like Trump National Charlotte like I do spoils me when I travel to other golf courses,” Jansen says. “Almost every hole has a view of the lake or of an amazing home. Nothing is more calming than looking out into the lake and seeing sailboats or wildlife. We live in a vacation environment, so even if I play other amazing golf courses, the views and amenities usually can't compare to what I have to look forward to when I return home.” And how’s this for an approach shot? “There are not too many places in the world where you can drive your boat to the golf course,” she says.
