Regarding the Ford Expedition, the new model has new exterior and interior design including a new liftgate, new tail lamps, new exhaust tips, and new fascia; even the hood, the headlamps, the grille, the fender, and the fog lamps were all redesigned. The new Platinum series even have unique interior with the Nirvana leather and perforated quilted seats. The 2.3 L Ecoboost engine delivers a substantial increase in horsepower; it can go up to 280 hp thanks to the large twin-scroll low-inertia turbo charger that separates the exhaust pulses from pairs of cylinders enabling quicker turbine spin-ups, enhanced acceleration responsiveness and efficiency. Moreover, parking is no longer an issue with new enhanced active park assist as explorer uses its available ultrasonic systems to help the driver in nearly all parking situations. The front 180-Degree camera aids visibility for limited-sight maneuvers such as pulling out of a driveway or parking lot. It also allows the driver to see around obstacles and includes washer to keep lens free of dirt and debris. The Ultrasonic sensors also alert drivers to objects and these audible tones increase in frequency as the vehicle approaches an object until the sound becomes a continuous tone. There are, though, other high-tech features that made the 2016 Ford Expedition unique when it comes to SUVs including the hands-free, foot-activated liftgate that can open and close with a kick within the range of the rear bumper’s sensors.
