in the lives that follow When I was finishing my bachelor’s degree, my mother went back to school. She graduated in 1970 with a BA from Concordia—one year after me. I admired my mother for doing this, with a full time job and four children. The amount of effort that it took and the sacrifices she made were incredible. So when she died in 1984, at the age of 60 from breast cancer, I knew I had to honour her memory.
