Time to dig out your favourite head gear!

Did you know, March 31st is National Wear a Hat Day?

Don your favourite beanie, woollie hat, baseball cap or maybe you even have a fancy dress turkey hat from xmas hiding in your loft?!

Why not get the kids involved and have them make their own masterpiece?? Now is the time to get your hats out and show your support for this annual event, organised by Brain Tumour Research. Money raised helps in the search to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. Over the years, Wear a Hat Day events have raised over 2 Million pounds - The money has helped;

• In establishing a network of Centres of Excellence across the UK (currently they are set to open the 4th, the aim is to reach 7 Centres).

• To push the boundaries of knowledge about brain tumours and make ground-breaking discoveries, which could bring hope to patients diagnosed with glioblastoma, meningioma, schwannoma, medulloblastoma and more.

• To provide career-defining opportunities for dozens of young researchers.

• To reach millions of people by sharing stories, raising vital awareness and inspiring others to support the cause. To celebrate the event and raise funds for Brain Tumour Research, Adur East Lions, who have their charity stall every month at the Shoreham Artisans Market, will be promoting the event on Saturday 25th March. We will be selling limited edition Brain Tumour Research Pins and Badges, so do come along and show your support by buying one - We will also be giving away free toys to any children. Please come and support us and wear a hat on Artisan Market Day, Saturday 25th March; the more outlandish the hat, the better! If you can’t make it down to see us, but still would like to be involved, we are also organising our Annual Golf Day (in aid of Brain Tumour Research), at Worthing Golf Club on Thursday 20th July.
