Managers Harry Perkins and Chris Harris approached Shoreham Football Club, who gladly took them in, wanting to enjoy the success of Women’s Football after the England Lionesses won the Euros in July.

The team consists of a great blend of young and experienced players. They were placed in Division One, the league structured by a Premier Division, and the first and second divisions of Sussex teams. After some impressive high-scoring results, the league asked them if they would move up a Division, so the Shoreham FC women’s team was promoted mid-season!
A higher division meant more challenging games against more experienced teams. Still, everyone pulled together to work on fitness and commitment; the third place is a respectable achievement for this newly formed team.
To top off the season, the team reached the County Cup semi-finals and won the League Challenge Cup Final!
One of the young players, Amber Hazelwood, scored a first-half hat trick and won Player of the Match.
Shoreham FC Women play at Middle Road in Shoreham, and we are looking for new players. If you are interested, message us on our socials, Facebook or Insta or email: shorehamfcwomen@ gmail.com.
