At Greenwich Peninsula’s new two-day, family friendly shopping experience SAMPLE , you can visit 100 designermakers and explore an extensive programme of live music, street theatre and family-friendly festivities along London’s new elevated linear park, The Tide. There’s plenty of unique gift ideas from the brightest talents in fashion, design, homewares, food produce plus free and paid for workshops, seasonal entertainment and much more. Powerhouse Gospel Choir set the scene as you stroll under an arch created by jewellery designers, Tatty Devine then snuggle up to roast marshmallows and chestnuts, while sipping mulled wine at the fire pits. Fun and games include curling, giant snow globes, disco bingo, name that tune, a lip sync competition, and a Santa’s sustainable workshop.

The Upper Norwood library is hosting a one-day makers’ market on December 8 (11am-4pm) with 16 local makers selling their products, including a number of people who are based in Dulwich, Crystal Palace, and Streatham.
