NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Southwark intend to exercise powers pursuant to Section 122(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 to appropriate for planning purposes land being approximately 8411.5m2 in extent at Melon Road and Sumner Avenue and 2792.9m2 in extent at Peckham Library Square part of which is open space.
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) ORDER 2015 (AS AMENDED) NOTIFICATION OF ARTICLE 4 DIRECTION: BYWATER PLACE
A copy of the map showing the locations and areas of the land to which this Notice relates can be inspected during the hours of 10:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday at the offices of the Council in the Chief Executive’s Department, 5th Floor, 160 Tooley Street, London, SE1 2QH (Reference: Peter Barter).
Southwark Council confirmed an Article 4 Direction on 11 April 2017, under Article 4 (1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015 (as amended).

The Direction confirms the removal of the permitted development rights granted by Schedule 2, Part 3, Class L (b) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015 (as amended) which allows a change of use from a dwellinghouse (use class C3) to a small house in multiple occupation (HMO) (use class C4), introduced by the council on 27 October 2016.
Anyone wishing to make objections to the intended appropriation of the land should make them in writing no later than 4:00pm on 28 April 2017 at the address above (quoting the reference), stating the grounds of the objection.
Development of the description set out above should not be carried out on the land showed edged in red on the maps annexed to the Direction, unless planning permission is granted on an application made under Part III of the T Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended).

The London Borough of Southwark hereby gives notice that it intends to redevelop 2,452 sq metres of playing field land at Beormund Primary School and Porlock Hall PRU Site, Crosby Row/Porlock Street, London SE1 3PS for residential and commercial provision for which the London Borough of Southwark will make the required application for consent of the Secretary of State to dispose under Section 77 of the above Act.
The London Borough of Southwark proposes to relocate and provide a new purpose-built school for Beormund Primary on a centrally located and more efficient site in Reedham Street, London, SE15 4PF, in the Peckham Ward.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
The Council of the London Borough of Southwark hereby gives notice that to enable Highway works to be carried out, it intends to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicular traffic from entering part of the above named roads. Whilst the works are in progress, and whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed, no person shall cause any vehicle to enter, proceed, stop, wait, load or unload in: (a) Coleman Road, between No’s 30 to it’s junction with Wells Way. (b) Coleman Road, between No’s 30 – No’s 58 (c) Coleman Road, between No’s 66 – No’s 135 (d) Monnow Road, at it’s junction with Southwark Park Road (e) Newent Close, between Coleman Road to No’s 104 (f) Waghorn Street, between Mcdermott Road and Nutbrook Street.
The existing one way working in Monnow Road, between Southwark Park Road and Trothy Road will be made two way for access and egress purposes for item (d)
Vehicles will also be prohibited from waiting and loading including on the southern Kerb line of Newent Close, between, Coleman Road and No’s 90 Newent Close, for item (e).
The alternative route would be via: (a, b,c) Rainbow Street, Newent Close, Tower Mill Road, St Georges Way, Dowlas Street, Wells Way. Bonsor Street, Southampton way. (d) Reverdy Road, Lynton Road, Monnow Road. (e) Rainbow Street, Newent Close, Dowlas Street, Wells Way, Bonsor Street, Coleman Road, Southampton way, Tower Mill Road, St Georges Way, Chandler Way. (f) Nutbrook Street, Anstey Road, Mcdermott Road, Maxted Road as applicable.
Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said works.
The restrictions will not apply to any vehicle being used in connection with the said works, or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
