WOODEN BOAT SHOW
The 8th Annual Southport Wooden Boat Show, sponsored by the SWBS Committee, a 501(c)3 organization, will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 10am until 4pm. As with last year’s show, boats will be displayed in and around the historic Old Yacht Basin in Southport. Visitors will be able to talk with wooden boat makers and owners, and to vote for their favorite for the People’s Choice Award. Additionally a team of judges will also award six other prizes.r

Minimum: Two years’ experience in developing and implementing recreational activities. Experience with events planning and social media are essential. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; including Word, Publisher & Excel. Design skills are a plus. Position is 16-24 hrs per week, but requires flexibility. **Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license and your own, reliable transportation. Must reside in Southport-Oak Island Chamber of Commerce service area, and be able to obtain and maintain a clean criminal background check. Must be physically able to carry out the duties including the ability to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
