competition – Storefronts throughout downtown Lake Geneva will create dazzling displays of holiday fun. This year’s theme is: “Its a Wonderful Lake Life!” Voting takes place in the stores and continues through Dec. 17 in several categories: Best interpretation of the theme; Best overall display; Best use of merchandise or product; Most creative and original. Winners will be announced the week of Dec. 20.

Christmas at the Belfry Theatre with Chicago Rewind – Chicago Rewired, a Chicago tribute band, brings all the greatest Christmas hits to the stage Belfry stage playing all of Chicago’s timeless hits and Christmas season classics. Tickets are $52 to $74. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and events begin at 7 p.m. Tickets and additional information at belfrymusictheatre.com.

3 Annual Elkhorn Christmas Tree

Lighting – Experience the small town comfort and joy of the holiday season in Elkhorn on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. as the community ignites the town’s Christmas spirit at the Tree Lighting while Santa Claus and a special guest helper wave a wand to magically light the tree in the downtown square.

Lake Geneva Electric Christmas Parade – The 46th annual parade: “Christmas Classics: Movies, Music and Stories” will step off in downtown Lake Geneva at 5 p.m. The annual event is a joyful celebration of the season in colorful, lightfilled units that travel down Broad and Main Streets.

Elkhorn’s Christmas Card Town Parade, 1:30 p.m. – Bundle up the family and grab a spot downtown to watch the annual Christmas Card Town Parade. Features decorated Christmas floats, novelty acts, music, animals, and Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Grand Yuletide Christmas Day Brunch at Lake Lawn Resort – Christmas Day Champagne Brunch in the Geneva Ballroom to toast to the season and celebrate with family and friends. 31 New Year’s Eve Celebration at Riviera Ballroom – The City of Lake Geneva hosts a New Year’s Eve celebration on the lakefront, 812 Wrigley Dr., Lake Geneva. Ring in the New Year dancing to the sounds of the Swing Nouveau Orchestra while benefitting Lake Geneva Rotary Club and the future Never Say Never Playland. Tickets are $75 per person and include appetizers and dinner catered by Celebration on Wells. Ongoing events Lake Geneva Cruise Line Santa Cruise ­– Embark on a magical Christmas boat cruise to Santa’s Hideaway! Along the 40-minute lake tour passengers will view lighted displays that unfold the story of your journey. Tours run Wednesday to Sunday; no tours Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Tickets range from $20 to $28 for adults and $9 to $18 for children (ages 4-17). Tours depart from Pier 290, 1 Liechty Drive, Williams Bay.
