IC Schools hold Thanksgiving prayer service By Dee Longfellow FOR THE ELMHURST INDEPENDENT

Below are scenes from a Thanksgiving Prayer Service for IC Grade School and IC Catholic Prep, led by Immaculate Conception Pastor, Very Rev. Tom Paul and Associate Pastor Chris Lankford. Â

Before the service concluded, the 2016 State Championshipbound ICCP Football Team was honored with a special blessing as they prepare for the big game in Champaign, which the team went on to win, thus clinching the state championship.

Above left: These students from Immaculate Conception took part in the Thanksgiving Prayer Service for both the high school and grade school last week prior to dismissal for the holiday. The event served not only to acknowledge Thanksgiving, but also to send off the ICCP football team to the state championship game, which they ended up winning 430, capping a perfect season.

Left: Lined up at the back of the room are the members of the ICCP football team as the other students at the Thanksgiving Prayer Service wished them well on their journey to the state championship game. Prayers were heard and answered because the team came home the champs, winning the last big game by a score of 43-0.
