RIDGE

County Line Road Over I-55 Bridge: The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and the Federal Highway administration (FHWA) finished an $8 million replacement of the County Line Road bridge over I-55 in early 2015. The project included aesthetic enhancements to the bridge that continue the Village’s branding theme established along County Line Road and the Burr Ridge Village Center. Incorporating these design elements was a rare opportunity that better identifies downtown Burr Ridge from I-55 and creates a more attractive entryway for all Village residents and businesses The Village’s enhancements were funded by a $1.4 million grant through the State of Illinois Transportation Enhancement program. The 20% contribution of local funding required as a condition of the grant was paid for by the Hotel/Motel Tax Fund, which can only be used for tourism-related programs and beautification within the Village. No resident tax dollars were used for the project. Burr Ridge Restaurants: In Burr Ridge you’ll find an eclectic mix of restaurants and a number of different dining options to fit every taste and budget. From breakfast to ending the evening with a night-cap, Burr Ridge restaurants provide family favorites and trendy hot spots for foodies and hipsters. Dine in

Visit www.experienceburrridge.com for locations, times, menus and special deals. Burr Ridge Village Center: The awardwinning Burr Ridge Village Center is a mixed use downtown district featuring an open air shopping experience with upscale retail shops and restaurants. The Center also includes 33,000 square feet of office space, 196 condominium units and a “Village Green”, where exciting community events are held, including the everpopular summer “Concerts on the Green”. An extensive renovation project involving the Village Green resulting in improved traffic flow and access to retail shops, more relaxing outdoor seating, an outdoor fireplace, and better space for events at the north end of the Green. All events are open to the public and include a Classic Car Show, Concerts on the Green, Fall Festival of Fun, Sip, Shop & Give Nights, and the popular Jingle Mingle Tree Lighting Festival.
