CAROL OF THE BELLS

Hark, how the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say, throw care away. Christmas is here, bringing good cheer to young and old meek and the bold. Ding, dong, ding, dong. That is their song, with joyful ring all caroling.

One seems to hear words of good cheer, words of good cheer filling the air. Hark, how the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say throw cares away. Christmas is hear, bringing good cheer to young and old, meek and the bold. Ding, dong, ding, dong. That is their song, with joyful ring all caroling.

One seems to hear, words of good cheer, from everywhere filling the air. Oh, how they pound, raising the sound. O’er hill and dale telling their tale. Gaily they ring while people sing, songs of good cheer, Christmas is here!

Merry, merry, merry, merry, Christmas. Merry, merry, merry, merry, Christmas. Hark how the bells, sweet silver bells. Hark how the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say throw cares away. Christmas is near bringing good cheer to young and old, meek and bold.

Ding dong ding dong. That is their song, With joyful ring all caroling. One seems to hear words of good cheer, from everywhere, filling the air. Merry, merry, merry, merry, Christmas. Merry, merry, merry, merry, Christmas. On, on they send. On without end.

Their joyful tone to every home. Ding, dong, ding, dong, ding. Ding, dong, ding, dong, ding. Dong. Christmas is hear, bringing good cheer, to young and old, meek and bold. Ding, dong, ding, dong. That is their song, with joyful ring. Christmas is here! Ding dong dong-bong!

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout I’m telling you why. Santa Claus is coming to town He’s making a list, he’s checking it twice. He wants to find out who’s naughty or nice, Santa Claus is coming’ to town

He sees you when you are sleeping, and he knows when you’re awake. He knows if you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake! You better watch out, you better not cry, You better not pout I’m telling you why. Santa Claus is coming’ to town

He sees you when you’re sleeping, and he knows when you’re awake. He knows if you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake. You better watch out, you better not cry, You better not pout I’m telling you why. Santa Claus is coming to town.

You better watch out, you better not cry, You better not pout I’m telling you why. Santa Claus is coming’ I mean the big fat man with the long white beard. He’s coming’ to town

HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS

Have a holly jolly Christmas It’s the best time of the year. Well I don’t know if there’ll be snow, but have a cup of cheer. Have a holly jolly Christmas and when you walk down the street say hello to friends you know, and everyone you meet. Ho ho the mistletoe is hung where you can see, somebody waits for you kiss her once for me.

Have a holly jolly Christmas and in case you didn’t hear, oh, bygolly, have a holly jolly Christmas and this year Have a holly jolly Christmas and when you walk down the street say hello to friends you know, and everyone you meet Have a holly jolly Christmas and in case you didn’t hear, oh, bygolly, have a holly jolly Christmas this year

AUSTRALIAN CHRISTMAS CAROL MEDLEY

Out on the plains the Brolgas are dancing. Lifting their feet like warhorses prancing. Up to the sun the woodlarks go winging. Faint in the dawn light echoes their singing Orana! Orana! Orana! to Christmas day. Down where the tree-ferns grow by the river. There where the waters sparkle and quiver.

Deep in the gullies bellbirds are chiming softly and sweetly their lyric notes rhyming Orana! Orana! Orana! to Christmas day. Friarbirds sip the nectar of flowers. Currawongs chant in wattle tree bowers. In the blue ranges lorikeets calling carols of bush-birds rising and falling Orana! Orana! Orana! to Christmas day.

Orana! Orana! Orana! to Christmas day. The silver stars are in the sky, the red-gold moon is riding high. O, sleep, my little one, sleep. Once long ago against her breast, a mother hush’d a babe to rest. Who was the Prince of Heaven above. The Lord of gentleness and love. O, sleep, my little one, sleep.

The boo-book calls across the night. The brown moths flutter in the light. O, sleep my little one, sleep, my little one sleep. The north wind is tossing the leaves, the red dust is over the town, The sparrows are under the eaves and the grass in the paddock is brown.

As we lift up our voices and sing to the Christ-child the Heavenly King. The tree-ferns in green gullies sway, the cool stream flows silently by. The joy-bells are greeting the day, and the chimes are a-drift in the sky. As we lift up our voices and sing,

To the Christ child, the heavenly King. To the Christ child, the Heavenly King!

THIS CHRISTMAS

Hang all the mistletoe I’m gonna get to know you better this Christmas And as we trim the tree how much fun it’s gonna be together this Christmas The fireside is blazing bright we’re caroling through the night And this Christmas will be a very special Christmas for me

Presents and cards are here my world is filled with cheer and you this Christmas And as I look around your eyes outshine the town, they do, this Christmas The fireside is blazing bright we’re caroling through the night. And this Christmas will be a very special Christmas for me. Shake a hand, shake a hand now.

Ooh, the fireside is blazing bright we’re caroling through the night. And this Christmas will be a very special Christmas for me. Shake a hand, shake a hand now.

HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS

Have yourself a merry little Christmas. Let your heart be light. From now on, our troubles will be out of sight. Have yourself a merry little Christmas. Make the Yule-tide gay, From now on, our troubles will be miles away.

Here we are as in olden days, happy golden days of yore. Faithful friends who are dear to us gather near to us once more. Through the years we all will be together If the Fates allow Hang a shining star upon the highest bough. And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

Through the years we all will be together If the Fates allow Hang a shining star upon the highest bough. And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

O HOLY NIGHT

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining, It is the night of the dear Saviour’s birth. Long lay the world in sin and error pining, till he appeared and the spirit felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, for yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

Fall on your knees! Oh hear the angel voices! Oh night divine Oh the night when Christ was born Oh night divine Oh night, divine Led by the light of faith serenely beaming, with glowing hearts by his cradle we stand. O’er the world a star is sweetly gleaming,

now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land. The King of kings lay thus lowly manger, in all our trials born to be our friends. He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger. Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!

Truly he taught us to love one another, his law is love and his gospel is peace. Chains he shall break, for the slave is our brother. And in his name all oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, With all our hearts we praise his holy name.

Christ is the Lord! Then ever, ever praise we, his power and glory ever more proclaim! His power and glory ever more proclaim!

WHITE CHRISTMAS, TOO DARN HOT

The sun is shining, the grass is green, the orange and palm trees sway There’s never been such a day in Beverly Hills L.A. But it’s December the 24th and I am looking up to be up north I’m dreaming of a White Christmas. Just like the ones I used to know. Where the tree-tops glisten and children listen to hear sleigh bells in the snow.

I’m dreaming of a White Christmas. With every Christmas card I write. May your days be merry and bright and may all your Christmases be white.

But it’s too darn hot. It’s too darn hot. I’d like to sup - with my baby tonight. And play the pup – with my baby tonight. I’d like to sup - with my baby tonight. And play the pup - with my baby tonight. But I ain’t up to my baby tonight ‘cos it’s too darn hot.

Yeah it’s too darn hot. It’s too darn hot. I’d like to coo - with my baby tonight. And pitch some woo – with my baby tonight. I’d like to coo - with my baby tonight. And pitch some woo - with my baby tonight. But brother you bite my baby tonight ‘cos it’s too darn hot

I’m dreaming of a White Christmas. Just like the ones I used to know. Where the tree-tops glisten, and children listen to hear sleigh bells in the snow. I’m dreaming of a White Christmas, with every Christmas card I write. May your days be merry and bright,

and may all your Christmases be white. May your days be merry and bright, and may all your Christmases be white. Oh
