We would like to welcome Kidlington Res to BHP for our Midweek Floodlight Cup game.

It was an absolutely great result from us on Saturday! A great team performance and team spirit! The whole squad and management are buzzing for our result against a really good side who were sitting high in the league. But as I said before, we can beat anyone in this league if we perform and play with desire and hard work.

We have some talented players in our team, and young and up-and-coming talent as well. Its a very good mix, and we’re lucky to have that!

Especially Melvin Mauritson who has come into our squad, still young, and scored goals and made us a better team! Unfortunately we are going to lose him as he goes back to Denmark. I would just like to say how much of a nice chap he is as well as a top goal scorer. What a player he is, and what a player he will become! Myself and the team wish you all the best in the future buddy! We hope you can come back and watch us hopefully lift a trophy, or get into the playoffs.

So now we move onto tonight’s cup match. We have to bring the same hard work and dedication in this cup match, because as you know, cups are a one off game, so you never know what will happen. We have to be on the front foot and take our chances when we get them, hopefully winning the game early and getting us through to the next round.

The confidence around the team and management is really good. The communication is great, which helps on and off the pitch! I hope we push on and get a string of wins and we keep this momentum going.

Also, I would like to say, thank you for all of the support from the supporters for Southam United Football Club. Its fantastic to see all of this and its great for moving the club forward!

Thanks,

Simon Barby
