ASH KNIGHTS LETTER FROM THE CAPTAIN
Reflecting on last week’s 2-1 win against Kennington Athletic I though there were plenty of positives from the game. Obviously getting back-to-back wins is a great start to the new season. I felt we defended well. Its important when you come under pressure during periods of the game that you remain solid, and I felt we did that. To only concede 1 goal in 2 league games, I feel isn’t too bad. Adam Neale’s first appearance for the club at the heart of the defence was another positive to take from the game. He will certainly strengthen us and add more healthy competition. It is good to see all the new lads beginning to settle in nicely, and both goals being scored by other new signings; Wendel and Shane. We had a very good training session this week and have worked on a few things that needed improving on. We are a work in progress but I know that this new group of players will only get better. I must mention the supporters who
have come down, week-in and week-out to watch us. On behalf of the lads we appreciate your continued support and I hope you enjoy the game. UTS Ash
