THE PROCESS

There are several costs involved in setting up and operating an online merchandise store. Some of the main costs are:

1. BRANDED PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS

You will need to purchase the inventory that you plan to sell in your online shop from Sourcey.M. This stock will be paid for at the time of manufacture and then held in our warehouse ready for orders to be placed. There may be a fee charged for warehousing the stock.

2. PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY

We will photograph each of your items ready to upload to your online merch store. These photos will be available for you to use for your marketing and social media if required.

3. WEBSITE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT & HOSTING

Whether you make your store part of your existing website or create a brand new home for your store there will be time involved to design & develop your website. If you choose to make your store part of your existing website then there will be no additional fees for hosting. If you choose to create a stand alone store then we will need to host your site for you. You may also require a new domain for your store.

4. PAYMENT PROCESSING FEES

If you plan to accept credit card payments, you’ll need to pay processing fees to a payment gateway or merchant account provider. If you plan to allocate budgets to cost centres within your business then there won’t be any processing fees.

5. SHIPPING & HANDLING

We need to package and ship your merchandise to your customers, and there will be shipping and handling fees applied for each order.

6. CUSTOMER SERVICE

We provide full customer support and handle any returns or complaints on your behalf. This service incurrs an account management fee.

7. SOFTWARE & APPS

You may need to purchase or subscribe to software and apps to manage your store, such as inventory management, customer relationship management, or marketing automation tools. These tools can be quoted on an as needs basis.

The specific costs of each of these factors will depend on the size and scope of your store, as well as the specific products you plan to sell. It’s important to carefully plan and budget for these costs before launching your online merchandise store. To help you with this process we have given an outline of some of the cost you might expect. Once we have a full scope of works we can provide a more accurate quote for you.
