I love how Christmas allows me to feel childlike delight. There are more wonders within the season than there is space for me to list them here—though the following pages make a small attempt at that. But I must add that what I love most about Christmas is the Christmas story itself. Not just the beautiful words to the poignant drama, but the spiritual truth, the divine event behind them. Years ago, my heart and mind were captured with the reality that God loves us all so much—that God loves me so much—that He sent a Baby to bring light to a dark world. Isn’t it amazing what can happen in one’s life through the power of a simple story? And is it any wonder I feel so blessed each day and that I’ve spent my adult life trying to be an encouragement and blessing to others? This season—maybe as you read this book as a daily Advent devotional or something you read aloud with your family—I hope you experience the simple blessings of Christmas in your heart and life. And that what you experience you share with those you love and everyone who is around you.
