A young couple celebrates without compromise

The Church at Sugar Creek in Humboldt, TN, was the glorious setting for the wedding of Natalie Rae Allen and Thomas Keith Gambill, Jr. on June 12, 2021. Natalie and Keith were married in the bride’s hometown by her grandfather, Dr. Bob Agee. The bride wore an elegant lace gown by Essence of Australia from The White Room in Lebanon, TN. They were surrounded by friends and family from all over the country, who were thrilled to gather and celebrate without compromise!

The couple shared a spiritual ceremony filled with scripture readings, prayer, and a special serenade by groomsman and Keith’s lifelong friend Chris Burrus. An elegant evening reception was held at the Jackson Country Club full of food, fun, and dancing following the ceremony.

Natalie and Keith met in business school at Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University while each was earning their Masters of Marketing. Having both attended SEC schools for their undergraduate degrees (Natalie to Ole Miss and Keith to Auburn), they bonded instantly over sports, fraternity and sorority life, and mutual friends. They remained friends for the next year, and Keith asked Natalie out on a date the night before their graduation. After dating for over a year, Keith proposed to Natalie in June 2020 at Old Hickory Lake in Mount Juliet, TN.

Natalie serves as the Associate Manager of National Promotions and Category Marketing at Tractor Supply Company’s headquarters in Brentwood, TN. Keith serves as the Marketing Manager for i3 Verticals, an integrated payments and software company in Green Hills. After enjoying a honeymoon at the UNICO 20°87° Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Natalie and Keith live in the Sylvan Park area and have an adorable chocolate lab named Atlas. sl

A blind date becomes a perfect match

Kylie Chase of Winston Salem, NC, and Curtiss Telfer of Nashville, TN, were set up by mutual college friends who knew they would be a perfect match. They met for a cocktail after work in Washington, DC, in November 2018, and the rest is history.

The two friends responsible for setting them up kicked off the rehearsal dinner by telling the story to everyone together. The rehearsal dinner on Friday evening was at The Barn at Reynolda Village in Winston Salem. The after-party was out on the front lawn with country music from Sammy Arriaga, who came to North Carolina from Nashville.

Kylie and Curtiss were married on September 18th outdoors with wonderful weather and the spectacular backdrop of the Lord and Burnham Greenhouse at Reynolda Gardens. The reception was held in a grand white tent on the grounds.

Each of the signature cocktails told stories about the couple’s courtship: The “ChurchKey”—the name of the bar where they met for their first date, the “Casa del Rio”—the name of the road Kylie’s family lake house is on where they spent much of quarantine, and “Rock Creek”—the trail in Washington, DC where they got engaged. At their departure from the reception, guests shook pompoms of each of our school colors to pay homage to Kylie’s college cheerleading days.

They each had 12 bridesmaids and groomsmen, which included college friends from Washington and Lee (groom) and the University of Virginia (bride) and childhood friends, DC friends, and siblings. Their flower girl was Kylie’s little sister, Mallory. The bride wore a gown by Amsale, with a structured bodice and embroidered tulle skirt. The bridesmaids were in shades of blue and gray Jenny Yoo dresses in styles of their choice. The men wore classic black tuxedos.

Kylie said: “We had truly the happiest day celebrating with family and friends and feel overwhelmingly grateful for such a special weekend!”

For their honeymoon, Kylie and Curtiss took a two-week trip to California- driving the coast, hiking, biking, and wine tasting in San Francisco, Carmel-By-The-Sea, Big Sur, Yosemite, and Sonoma. They live in Washington, DC, where Curtiss works at CBRE, a commercial real estate firm, and Kylie works at Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm.
