If you are looking for breathtaking stretches of coastline and delicious seafood, look no further than the northeastern-most state in the U.S.—Maine! Referred to locally as the Pine Tree State, predominantly for the abundance of parks and other forestry areas, Maine is a haven for gorgeous natural scenery. Discover why MAINE is the MAIN attraction.

Cliff House Maine has reemerged as one of the most captivating waterfront destinations of its kind following a landmark transformation. This iconic resort, which welcomed its first guests in 1872, inspires a new community of travelers today with remarkable sightlines, intuitive amenities, and emotionally rewarding encounters. Located minutes from Ogunquit’s sandy beach and just over an hour north of Boston, Cliff House stretches across 70 oceanfront acres atop Bald Head Cliff on the southern coast of Maine, overlooking the ocean’s edge and Nubble Lighthouse. The team at Cliff House meticulously prepares new and exciting oceanfront seasonal adventures. From new menu launches in its restaurants to specialized programming and recreation in the spa, pools, and within the 70 acres of the great outdoors, you will find your perfect place on this exquisite property.

Each of its 226 inviting luxury accommodations—including guest rooms and suites—boasts private terraces and incomparable oceanfront views. The serene Maine accommodations are custom-designed with graceful coastal style and handcrafted elements and are richly textured yet comfortably refined.

The traditions and natural environment inspired the 9,000 square-foot luxury Spa at Cliff House-Seaside Sanctuary, situated high atop the majestic cliffs of Maine’s southern coast. Guests may unwind before a treatment in the luminous sanctuary surrounded by cliff views and an infinite horizon. Showcasing the very best wellness and beauty practices, The Spa provides energetic, therapeutic, and holistic therapies for all to enjoy. The spa channels the transformative interplay of water, stone, sky, and sand while serving as an oasis for guests to rejuvenate and recharge.

Cliff House aspires to immerse itself into the local art and culture. As a sponsor of its neighboring Ogunquit Museum of American Art, The Gallery at the Cliff House is curated by the Van Ward Gallery of Ogunquit, featuring talented local artists from photography to mixed media. The Studio at Cliff House is hosted by the artist in residence, Ric Della Bernarda. It serves as an interactive element for guests to try their hand at intriguing art classes and workshops. Private lessons or small group classes offer plein air painting on the resort grounds or in the privacy of The Studio.

Guests are invited to tee off the cliffs into the Atlantic at the North Point Driving Range using the innovative Albus Golf Ecobioball—a 100% safe, biodegradable and nontoxic golf ball. The range balls are filled with fish food, so while practicing your swing, you are also feeding the fish, a fun experience for the avid or beginner golfer. While on-site, explore the new self-guided Discovery Center to uncover an abundance of activities, beaches, local bites, sightseeing, recreation, and day trips, whether at the resort or up the coast.

Dining options are abundant at Cliff House. Guests can enjoy a local brew by Bard Coffee to accompany the sunrise by the Cliff House’s signature firepit terrace. Inspired by the original Bard Coffee in Portland, this comfortable coffee house is perfect for sipping the finest coffee with fresh, homemade pastries and light bites.

The Tiller is where upscale contemporary design meets rustic charm with panoramic ocean views. Seasonal breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus are prepared with farm-fresh produce, line-caught fish, locally raised steaks, and homemade recipes passed down from generation to generation.

Nubb’s Lobster Shack offers quintessential Maine cuisine amid majestic coastal views. Nosh on lobster rolls and raw bar selections, sample local craft beers while lounging poolside, or gather on the side lawn for a round of cornhole.

Enjoy refreshing beverages and replenishing bites during an afternoon in the sun. The Cove Bar and Grille offers a unique view of the Maine Coast and sits aside the family-friendly pool and hot tub overlooking North Point Lawn.
