As video coordinator, Saxon is responsible for all aspects of team video, ranging from practices, games, opponents and scouting reports. Saxon also oversees statistical analysis and basketball information. Additionally, Saxon assists in managing recruit information and the daily schedules of team activities. Prior to his current role, Saxon spent the 2015-16 season as a graduate assistant for the Sooners, helping with on-court workouts and dayto-day operations around the basketball office.
2018-19 OKLAHOMA basketball
A graduate of OU, Saxon spent his junior and senior years of undergrad as a student manager, learning numerous functions of team operations in equipment, workouts and video. Saxon originally became involved with OU basketball by serving as a member of the scout team for Sherri Coale’s women’s program for two seasons. A third-generation Sooner, Saxon graduated with a public relations degree and a sports management minor in 2015 and is currently pursuing his master’s in adult and higher education with an emphasis in intercollegiate athletic administration. Saxon attended Norman High School and served as captain of the Tigers’ basketball team for three seasons.
