A Transformative Transfer
Gianna Paroli ’23 started her college career at Loyola University, a large and prestigious institution in Chicago. When she couldn’t find a major that fit her interest, though, Gianna started looking to transfer. She returned home to Massachusetts and took a closer look at Bay Path University. The Pre-Occupational Therapy program caught her attention, especially its 3+2 option.
“I like how the Pre-Occupational Therapy program is all laid out so I have a clear path,” Gianna said. “It’s exciting to earn my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the same time. I was nervous at first, but once I saw the plan I knew I could handle it.”

Gianna applied as a transfer student and was immediately impressed by the warm welcome and support: “The transfer process was honestly so easy. I applied to a few other schools at the same time and saw the difference. Bay Path was always in touch and they offered me a lot of support. They really made it easy.”
Gianna also received a generous transfer scholarship, saying, “It helps so much. It basically means that I don’t have to work and I can concentrate on school.”
Starting over again at a new college may seem daunting, but Gianna said, “Fitting in was easy because everyone is so friendly. I met people in my major right away. I think the class size helps with that. At my previous school we were in big lecture halls. At Bay Path, my classes aren’t bigger than 15 students.”
She also appreciates how the professors “make a huge effort to connect with students.” Gianna is thrilled with how things turned out and wants to share her story:
“I want people to know what Bay Path has to offer. It’s a great school that gives students what they want. Bay Path offers a lot of value.”
