EVERYTHING TO MEET YOUR STERILE PROCESSING CLEANING NEEDS Count on SONIX 4 for the right products and services that will meet your sterile processing needs, reduce cost and ensure safety. Not just a washer – the world’s most powerful cleaning method. Sterile processing and decomtamination is a multi-step process that plays a major role in the prevention of disease transmission. For all reusable medical devices effective cleaning is the most important step in the process because devices must be clean and before they can be sterilized. Cleaning also presents the greatest microbiological hazard to personnel handling contaminated devices.

A sterile processing system is designed to: • Protect

employees from infection when first handling contaminated devices. Sonix 4 products will significantly reduce risk from handling and eliminate manual cleaning.

• Provide appropriate processes for the removal of high

populations of microorganisms. Cleaning removes rather than kills microorganisms. Sonix 4 ultrasonic cleaners provide for removal of fine and gross debris. Sonix 4 also provides chemical detergents to enhance removal of organic and inorganic soils under various water quality conditions. • Render

devices safe-to-handle by inactivating infectious microorganisms. Following the aggressive removal of visible soil, expose devices to thermal hot-water disinfection to kill infectious, vegetative microorganisms.

• Drying of medical devices reduces the risk of contamination.

Dry with radiant heat or convection at a temperature range of 65c to 75c. • Sterilize critical devices to kill all microbial life, including spores.
